Choosing The Proper Wine For Your Holiday Mood

Some people try to swallow pills

To cheer them up or cure their ills

While some resort to eating food

When ere they want to change their mood

When I am feeling down and dead

I’ll pour myself a little red

And when I’m feeling wry and spright

I like to quaff a crisp, cold white

So if by chance you’re feeling low

Try opening a smooth Merlot

To stop yourself from feeling blah

You just might sip Petit Syrah

Or when you’re sad and all alone

You’ll warm your heart with Cote de Rhone

Not a happy gal or fella?

Get a good Valpollicella

For the darkest times I swear a

Cure-all is a good Barbera

But for days when nothin’s easy

Depend upon Sangiovese

Au contraire when you’re Okay

The best choice is Pouilly Fuisse

If it’s warm down south today

You could make do with Voignier

But if it gets real hot and hazy

Grab an ice cold Muscadazy

Find you’re in the mood for play?

Taste a nouveau Beaujolais

For times you’re feeling fancy free

You might imbibe a Pinot Gris

But when you’re feeling super keen, a

Perfect choice is Gwertztramina

So next time that your mood affects ya

Nix the Paxil and Celexa

You might do at least as well

With just a glass of Zinfandel

But heed this warning, your gustation

Must be done in moderation

Otherwise you’ll need A-A

And not your local sommelier
